Sts. Markios and Markia (Feast Day - June 27)

Verses

Markios and Markia were united in their calling,
And were joined together in being decapitated by a sword.

The Holy Martyrs Markios and Markia met their end by a sword.

Concerning Saint Markios, he was brought before the ruler Perinios of Iconium, and having confessed Christ, his body was flayed, then put on a fiery grill. After they cut out his tongue, he was finally beheaded.
