3 Greek Orthodox Shrines Dedicated to Saint Nikephoros the Leper

1. Church of Saint Nikephoros the Leper in the village of Emporio on the island of Santorini.

It was consecrated on June 21, 2014 and is the first church dedicated to Saint Nikephoros the Leper.

2. Chapel of Saint Nikephoros the Leper which is located in the Hospital Loimodon "Saint Barbara" in Thessaloniki.

It was established by a priest named Fr. Stephanos and his presbytera Margaret after an ardent battle with authorities. It was built right next to the cell of Elder Eumenios Saridakes. In this little chapel is a beautiful fresco with the miracle that Elder Eumenius experienced when, entering the sacred cell of his spiritual father Saint Nikephoros, he captured him in the air in a state of ecstasy while at prayer.

3. Church of Saint Nikephoros the Leper in Syrikari of Kissamos on the island of Crete.

This church is located at the birthplace of Saint Nikephoros. It is still in the process of being built.
