Apodosis of the Dormition of the Theotokos (Feast Day - August 23)

On an Apodosis, or Leavetaking, the Church once again gives us the opportunity to celebrate the beauty of a great feast. When we see or experience something beautiful, it is human nature to desire to have that experience again. For example, when we taste a delicious food, we desire to eat it again.
