Three fellow athletes whose heads were cut off,
Were worthy of the Trinity placing three crowns upon.

The Holy Martyrs Alexander, Barbaros and Akolouthos met their end by the sword. Their Synaxis and Feast took place in the revered Temple of Hagia Eirene by the sea.
