On July 28, 1898 Saint Nektarios visited the Brotherhood of the Ioasafaion in Kavsoklayva on the Holy Mountain, and he signed his name in the visitors book as "Metropolitan of Pentapolis Nektarios". Above his name he wrote the Anavathmos from Matins in Plagal of the First Tone, which says: "Blessed is the life of those who dwell in the desert, winged as they are by divine eros." His signature is the middle signature on the page.
