Synaxis of Saints Mamas, Pachomios, Hilarion, Demetrios, Danax, Mesiros, Therinos, Donatos and Barbaros

Verses

To Mamas, Pachomios and Hilarion.
Hilarion and Pachomios Mamas,
Together departed with a good departure.

To Demetrios.
The arrows were a mortal wound to the flesh,
Demetrios led the arrows of infants.

To Danax, Mesiros and Therinos.
Both athletes had their heads cut off,
Mesiros lay dead in between two heads.

To Donatos.
Donatos was another stranger to my sun,
Putting forward his flesh to the ray of the cast arrow.

To Barbaros.
Our calling Barbaros is your nobility,
Barbarians of the heart, decapitated you.

The Venerables Mamas, Pachomios and Hilarion met their end in peace.

The Holy Martyr Demetrios met his end by arrows.

The Holy Martyrs Danax, Mesiros and Therinos met their end by the sword.

The Holy Martyr Donatos met his end by arrows.

The Holy Martyr Barbaros met his end by the sword.

The Synaxis of Saints Mamas, Pachomios, Hilarion, Demetrios, Danax, Mesiros, Therinos, Donatos and Barbaros was celebrated in their martyrium in the Deuteron district of Constantinople. This took place on the 6th of May.
