Elder Paisios on the Incorrupt Relics of St. Spyridon

- Elder, did St. Spyridon perhaps request from God that his relics remain incorrupt?

- No, how could that happen? The saints do not ask for things like that. By His economy God allowed the relics to remain incorrupt in order to help people. And see how God economized this! Because Kerkyra, Kefallonia, and Zakyntho are near Italy, and it would be easy for the people to be seduced by Catholicism, placing a dam over there with St. Spyridon, St. Gerasimos, and St. Dionysios.
