Saint Kosmas Aitolos Honored in the Village of Tsouka Where He Preached

To celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great missionary and martyr St. Kosmas the Aitolos, the village of Tsouka in western Fthiotida took the opportunity to honor him on Sunday August 17th.

This took place at the spot called "Stavros" ("Cross"), where according to tradition St. Kosmas preached the word of God to the inhabitants of Tsouka.

There His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Fthiotida consecrated a veneration shrine of St. Kosmas.

They then went to the Spiritual Center of the village, where a talk was given in honor of St. Kosmas, and this was followed by traditional dancing.
