Aristotle Onassis’ sole descendant, granddaughter Athena Onassis, asked her partners to settle the final details regarding her trip to Greece to fulfill the vow she made after her serious accident.

She made a vow to the Monastery of St. John Chrysostom in Naxos, whose Feast Day is celebrated on November 13, the exact day she was seriously injured during her riding practice. This unpleasant incident shocked Onassis and gave her a different outlook on life.

Onassis wants to thank God for protecting her as she was rescued with just a wound on the spine. Her partners are scheduling her trip to Greece within the next days, so both she and her husband Alvaro can visit the Monastery of St. John Chrysostom. They are expected to visit Greece in mid January.
