Approved English "Christ is Risen‏" for Greek Archdiocese

From the National Forum of Greek Orthodox Church Musicians:

On March 21, 2012, His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, on behalf of all the members of our Holy Eparchial Synod, approved and distributed copies of the standard text and music for the English version of Christos Anesti to all the parishes of our Archdiocese. The National Forum is so pleased we have reached this milestone of now being able to sing this significant and beautiful hymn of our faith in English as one, wherever we travel and whenever we gather from different parishes, just as we have been able to do with the Greek version.

We encourage church musicians to work with their priests to start singing this version as soon as possible. To give your parish some ideas for introducing the English, a file of practical "tips" for implementing the transition to the approved version has been prepared.
