My work here depends on your help, so if you find it beneficial or of interest, please send your financial support. It is greatly appreciated.

550 Students Baptized at Saint Mark's In Belgrade

Outside the Cathedral of Saint Mark in Belgrade yesterday, April 17th (Palm Sunday), 550 primary and secondary students were baptized into the Orthodox Christian Church. This marks probably the largest mass baptism in the city of Belgrade.

The baptism is organized by the Commission for Religion of the Archdiocese of Belgrade and Karlovikiou, headed by Bishop Athanasios of Chvosnou, President of the Commission. The service was conducted by Bishop Athanasios along with clergy of the Patriarchate of Serbia.

The Bishop spoke to the students outside the Cathedral where this years marathon is set to begin, saying: "You action is the beginning of a spiritual marathon - a marathon of life in Christ."
