The Mystagogy Resource Center is currently in a fundraising campaign to continue and expand its service. Your financial support is very much appreciated. Read more about it here.

In an effort to reach our financial goal of $10,000 we will be absent from posting and working behind the scenes until the goal is met.

Currently, as of Tuesday 24 May 2016 at 9:00am est., we are at 51% of our goal.

I hope you will help us reach our goal quickly. If everyone that visited this site today contributed just a few dollars, the goal would be reached in a matter of hours. Thank you!

Documentary On A Modern Day Stylite

A few months ago I posted the article written by Temo Bardzimashvili titled "Georgian Monk Builds Stairway to Heaven". The article reports about Father Maxim, a native of Chiatura in Georgia who has wanted to live atop the Katskhi pillar as a Stylite since childhood. With the help of local villagers and money from donors throughout Georgia he is rebuilding the church. Once finished, he hopes to receive permission from the Patriarch to fulfill that dream.

Stephen Riehl is an independent filmmaker based in the Pacific Northwest who is currently working with Temo to develop a feature length documentary film based on his article. The working title is, The Stylite: A Matter Of Faith.
