A Recent Miracle of the Archangel Michael During the War in Ukraine

Margaret Seidler is a German Orthodox who joined the ranks of the militia in Novorossia, and takes part in the defense of Donetsk. She is one of the symbols of the Ukrainian militia. Speaking with Helena Yufereva specifically for the portal Orthodox Perspective, she referred to among other things a recent miracle of the Archangel Michael, whose memory is celebrated today in our Church.

To the question: "Have you felt God's help in the war?", the German said among other things:

"I clearly felt the Lord to be with us. A friend of mine from Kiev says that one day as she was sitting at home in Semyonovka praying, after an explosion the roof fell. Everyone ran outside. Nobody was injured. There is a proverb that says: 'Whoever believes in accidents, does not believe in God.'

I spoke with a soldier from my team, and the soldier told me that he used to be a pastor in the sect of the Seventh Day Adventists, but after seeing the courage and sacrifice of the Orthodox people in the war, he decided to accept Orthodox Christianity.

The team leader told me that he and his men saw an image of our Lord Jesus Christ with his right hand giving a blessing before a major battle.

Another soldier showed me a small paper icon of the Archangel Michael which he kept in the pocket of his shirt, and one day when a bomb exploded next to him the icon protected him. He showed me the icon with a hole in the middle."
