Dozens Baptized in Yalta of Crimea

August 2, 2013

A group baptism for the 1,025 year anniversary of the baptism of Russia was held on a beach in the city of Yalta in Crimea of Ukraine.

It began with a Doxology in honor of the Holy Prince Vladimir which was performed by the head priest of Saint Alexander Nevsky Church, Fr. Adam, in the presence of clergymen from the surrounding area.

Then was celebrated the Mystery of Baptism, which involved people who were not baptized.

Dozens of people of all ages, from infants to seniors, in commemoration of the baptism of Rus, were baptized in the waters of the Black Sea.
