Angels told the Apostles that Christ would return in the same manner that he left; he ascended into heaven in clouds. Good God, all you folks should read the Bible, it tells all about the Christ, and he will NOT be anything else but the Jewish man born of a virgin and the Holy Spirit. If y'all were really interested in truth, there are so many miraculous occurences and saints whose bodies are still intact, incorrupt, and there is much science to back it up. I quit the New Age movement because there were too many 'soon' and 'be patient' and claims of supernatural things; no proof of any of it, and I am a stickler for evidence and irrefutable science.

Scott James seems to have written his NYT story without doing any homework or fact checking. His claims are completely untrue.

No follower of Share International has proclaimed that Raj Patel is Maitreya.

Mr Creme has never been known as 'the Master'.

Maitreya was not born in 1972 - he was in an adult body in 1977 (not 5 years old like Patel)

This story about Patel is just a stupid rumor started by some Christian fundamentalists who are desperately trying to identify Maitreya so that they can denounce him and 'prove' that he is not the Christ.

The real Maitreya will be known to people in good time, so be patient. In the meantime don't believe these fundamentalists or any other rumor mongers. Trust your own judgement, but keep an open mind.
